Review Bloodwork Before TRT

I’ve had blood work done to determine Test levels before considering TRT would anyone be able to tell me what markers I should be looking for?

I have results for

FSH 4.15 iu/L
LH 4.52 iu/L
OESTRADIOL. 106 pmol/L
TESTOSTERONE 26.01 nmol/L
FREE TESTOSTERONE 0.519 nmol/L
PROLACTIN 533 mu/L

You should look for the cause of your elevated prolactin.

Forgive my ignorance but I don’t know what prolactin is, what should I be doing to bring it down?

I’ve done a little reading.

It appears that it’s possible that prescribed medication I’m on which is an SSRI can cause a high reading for prolactin.

I’m gonna do another test in a few weeks.

yep. you don’t need TRT

P5P can be used to bring down prolactin a little if you want to continue with the SSRI. It is kinda self limiting in its impact to prolactin, so crashing prolactin isn’t much of a concern compared to drugs like caber. It’s also over the counter.

How come

Because you’re not hypogonadal

Prolactin becomes elevated after sex and is why you lose erections temporarily (refractory period), excess prolactin interferes with secretion of gonadotropin releasing hormone, resulting in decreased testosterone and erectile dysfunction.

The SSRI is causing the high prolactin and are known to do so.

You don’t have low-T, you have robust Total T and Free T levels.

Why are you even considering TRT in the first place?

Talk to your doctor about stopping the SSRI and choosing a different SSRI or other medication.

Not only are you not hypogonadal but you have the T levels of a demi-god.
