Revelation Vacation

While skiing down some ‘mighty’ slopes here in the Midwest (I’m spoiled by Colorado) and contemplating the ideas of Georg Hegel and Karl Marx, it occurred to me how incompatible capitalism and democracy truly are. Capitalism, by its very nature, will always have some suffering due to industries dying away, like the autos. Yet those who suffer have the right to vote and power-mad politicos, like Obama, will always be there to cash in on suffering. They will try and stop the market forces at work to satisy their constituents.

But capitalism is the most dynamic and rewarding system for all of us long term.

It appears to me that the current Chinese system, an all-powerful oligarchy at the top, with a capitalist system below, is ideal.

What say all of you?
