Returned after injury--mysterious sounds

Some months ago I was doing dips on a machine with a large distance between grips. I went too deep into the dips and then it felt like my tricep and general shoulder region had been seriously strained. Turns out it was a rotator cuff injury.

Fast forward another couple of months. I had given up working out completely and my shoulder felt back to normal. I’ve returned to the gym, and had no pain.

However, when I do the bench press both of my shoulders make cracking sounds on the way up–even though the injury was only to my right rotator cuff. Any ideas what this could be, and what I could do to help?
