Retitled, FightingTiger's Log

Im posting pictures of my mediocre progress. Flame away at me if you wish, its cool. Im doing this as a way of holding myself accountable for my progress over the next several months. I dont get any sort of criticism at my current gym due to the fact that, at my current small size, Im still bigger than most of the frat boys that hang out there.

The first picture is of me last summer. I was lean, but I was small, as the picture illustrate. I was around 155 lbs at 5’8". The second is of me in January at around 175 lbs. I didnt gain much muscle, I mostly just got fat.

Im giving Thib’s Superheroes program a try for the remainder of this semester and seeing where it lands me. Ill post more information on my diet and maybe even find the time to post a training log on here.

Like I said, Im not looking for compliments, just honesty. This is mostly for me to keep up with my progress and to have a place where I can get real criticism instead of “Bra, you got huge, you takin creatine or anything?”

Thanks

Looks like all you’ve ever done are bicep curls and situp. What frat do you belong to? haha

Heres the more recent picture.

I would like to add that Im probably the ugliest guy on this site, second only to DieselWeasel.

Im not in one.

That picture was taken maybe 8 months after I started training. Ill post an old picture of my back too.

You asked for it.

GO EAT AND LIFT HEAVY, SISSY MAN!

That’s hilarious we were thinking the same, but I beat you to it.

WTF, I hope you know him if you are going to say something so stupid. If you had 1/2 his heart or determination, you might actually look like you lift. I’m not saying I agree with his training methods, nor do I know him, but guys like you give us all a bad name.

Could we please see your pictures. Otherwise, dont be a dick

Calm down quick draw.

It was a joke.

I admire Diesel a lot. His temper is a little quick, not unlike someone who has posted on this thread, but hes a strong guy and he works hard.

I should have seen the fire pictures coming, but I didnt, haha.

Im going to sleep now so I can get my 8 hours. Ill try to post diet and stuff tomorrow.

The only difference I see between the first and second photos is the haircut.

Honest observation.

Yeah, OP, it doesn’t look like you’ve lifted a weight in the past 8 months. Honestly.

That’s sad. But at the same time I know he’ll blow up soon. Some growth spurt. You need to get serious.

There must be something missing from the puzzle. I’m surprised no one has asked this maybe they’re too busy being jerks :stuck_out_tongue:

Post what you’re doing OP. And I mean everything, haha.

Is that back pick before or after? I couldn’t quite figure out what you were saying.

If you want to compare before and after (those first 2 pics) then you should do it with the same lighting and pose.

With that pose and lighting, I would say you look smaller. Probably you got a tiny bit stronger, and gained a bunch of fat.

I can admire what you are trying to do by posting here, but I think you might be going about it the wrong way.

If you were just straight up about it all, not bothering to call yourself or others ugly, and not encouraging flaming, you would probably get better responses, which I think is what you really want.

Negative self talk just sounds weak.

Start being strong now. Start a new thread, give it a better name.

Start over and just post pics of where you are now, and talk about where you want to go, and how you are going to get there. post your diet and exercise as planned.

Perhaps you will recieve less flames and more constructive criticism.

And if not…

(insert flame here… something about you being a pansy and eating enough for a 12 year old schoolgirl)

He is not going to get any love here with those before and after photos. This is not nodifference-nation.com.

If OP needed advice, he should ask for it and post his stats, aims, diet, etc BEFORE posting pictures that show no significant progress.

I suggest more Flying lateral single legged Dumbell bent presses

VERY WELL SAID!

Pull your pants up.

Not to worry, I’ve seen far uglier, and a large majority who seems far less intelligent.

However, as some have already alluded to, you need to replicate the same pose/lighting in your past&present pictures for an honest comparison.

As some have said, I’m not sure if it’s just terrible lighting or a bad pose, but your pictures indicate almost no muscular progress at all, which I certainly hope isn’t the case.

Not to mention that the pose you’re trying to pull off in your ‘more recent’ picture is a tough one for even a very muscular person to make look impressive.

I understand all of the criticism. Im not going to sit here and bitch at you guys like a lot of the people who post pictures do.

I wish I had before and after pictures of my legs, because I think that is where most of the weight I gained ended up going to. Like I said earlier, Im not looking for praise or even a little recognition, just criticism that I dont get from the curl jockeys at my local gym.

Training wise, last semester, I trained with a push/pull/legs split and worked mainly with singles and triples. I added about 80 lbs to my max DL and 45 to my max squat. Theyre still not very high, and not numbers Im going to post on here, but they did go up.

Diet-wise, last semester, I simply ate everything I could as often as I could at the dining hall here on campus. I know now that this was not a good idea, and Im not doing that anymore.
