Okay DB while I try to respect people in all view points, I would love to hear about this topic in the NFL thread.

Fuck it. I’ll make my own thread about this topic later today if I remember. Shoot me a PM to remind me because I don’t have time to lay out my argument in an organized, concise manner right now. You know me; I’ll start to ramble on until my OP is so long the first response ends up on the second page. But trust me, I have a compelling argument, even if you disagree.

I think you should do:
Is It Bullshit?
And do present a brief study of statistical methods used in scientific studies. i.e. Research shows that individuals with a bigger little toe are more likely smoke cigarettes. Is it bullshit? Go over sample sizes, the p = .xxx, correlation and causation, and what not. It would be doing the world and your classmates a favor.
Theres some references here: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/09/ff_wiredu/2/ to get started. [/quote]
Cool idea
Thanks for the suggestions, everybody. There were a bunch of cool ones.
I ended up with HRT, FWIW.
“Why are most first world countries created by Caucasian Europeans?”
Or something to that effect, there was a discussion about this topic in the PWI forum, it was pretty interesting. I think it is a pretty interesting topic.

Nice to see I have one supporter, maybe my comedy is “too” real?

How long does this paper need to be? As someone who has written research papers for peer-reviewed journals, I’d suggest that you really narrow the topic of HRT to something very very specific. This keeps you from making a lot of generalizations simply because the topic is too big. For example try “The effect of HRT on lean muscle mass of active males” or “Falling Testosterone: The increase of HRT use in younger males”
Chances are, unless your English teacher lifts weights, he/she thinks that HRT is for menopausal women. If your paper is simply about “Hormone Replacement Therapy” the teacher would be right to dock you for being incomplete if you didn’t spend half of it talking about hot flashes. Save yourself from that hell by specifying exactly what to expect in the title/introduction.
