Repetitive Movements Also Cause Tendonitis

Continuing the discussion from Conquering Tendonitis of the Tricep:

That is great advice. Unfortunately, for me, it’s not the exercises but rather lifestyle choices: heavy coffee drinking at times which saps previous calcium from joints and tendons, not getting enough sun, inadequate diet etc.

The main cause in my case is playing too much Forza on my Xbox One - it’s a driving simulator and often that requires holding the trigger down on the controller with the right index finger for long periods at a stretch. Classic case of repetitive stress syndrome… when I give the virtual driving a break, cut back on the coffee and get more sun… my elbow starts to get better though there are certain exercises that I do avoid just for good measure; skull crushers or behind the neck press-ups on a single heavy dumbbell.
