Repeating Beyond 5/3/1

I’m nearing the end of my first run through of the Beyond 5/3/1 program. In phase 1, you base your weight on your training max, which is a calculated 90% of your 1RM. Each time you advance to the next phase after deload weeks, you are supposed to add 5-10 lbs to your Training Max.

What do you do if you want to repeat the program after you complete the 4th and final phase. Should I be adding another 5-10 lbs to my training max, or should I be recalculating my training max based on my new 1RMs?

Or you could use something akin to the 7th week protocol and test your TM to determine where you’re at.

I believe many here (I can’t recall if Jim has said as much) suggest that you should be consciously aware of things as you go. That is you should get a feel for where your TM should be during the cycle.

But in general, you start at the beginning again. Set your TM and follow the program. :+1:
