Rep Ranges While Cutting?

I’m cutting at the moment. Going from 200 and aiming for 180-170. What’s the best rep ranges for keeping muscle while losing the fat?

my friend began cutting from 6’3", 220, 12-14%bf so he went on a one lift a day, 5x1 5min rest. very low volume, high to moderate intensity. he’s cut his cals by 500 so far and actually went up to 221 and dropped 1.5-2%bf.

can’t rule out that he started taking nootropics and a mild test booster, though.

i believe that generally, the lower the volume the better for maintaining or even building muscle and strength while cutting. add low intensity cardio or HIIT for additional fat loss.
