Rep Range for gaining Mass

I’ve read somewhere that in order to gain mass, you should use reps in the 8-12 range.
But I find it easier to increase the poundage I’m lifting each week by working around 6-7 reps, I never go below 6.
Would I still get the same gains in mass this way or should I use slightly lower weight so that I can do between 8-12 reps???

When i started training many years ago i lived by the law that 6-8 reps builds size…but after a while i discoved that 10-12 reps would wack slabs of muscle on me faster then 6-8. Now i there is some diff. from person to person just experiment a bit, but i truly think that 10-12 reps is the key (think i read this somewhere on t-mag too)
