I recall Scott Stevenson (Be Your Own Bodybuilding Coach) writes that decreased appetite is a symptom of overreaching. I found a few supporting studies but those were conducted during training camps and doesn’t really seem applicable to “ordinary” training burnout.
And further, it wasn’t something you mentioned in
nor your other articles on the subject.
However, is decreased appetite something you’ve observed in yourself/your athletes? If yes, through what mechanism(s) does that happen?
