Reduce Momentum When DLing?

Hey guys,

This question may be obvious to some, but I am not quire sure of the answer. I just recently started doing deadlifts elevated on a small platform to increase the strength of my pull at the bottom.

If I am doing multiple reps, would it be more beneficial to pause on the bottom and set the weight down, thus reducing momentum so that I have to overcome the weight from a resting position or is it "better" or "okay" to keep muscular tension and completely reduce momentum? Thanks

you should always be pulling from dead stop. Between reps reset your grip and your form if you need to. The only reason I could think of for going touch and go from the floor is if you are weak at LOCKOUT! Even doing that is dangerous because your form gets nasty.
