recovery supplements

A friend of mine has reccomended a supplement called 5-htp, which he uses. He says since taking it it has helped his recovery a great deal, and had improved his sleep.
Should I try it or just stick with ZMA, which is supposed to do the same thing??

5-htp is included in MD6 with the purpose of enhancing mood and fighting off food cravings. ZMA is zinc and magnesium combined that should help increase natural testosterone in the body. That is on the assumption that you are zinc and magnesium deficient. There is much debate over this but I take it mostly for the sleep benefit it gives me. I think it also helps me recover faster too. And it also makes for some crazy dreams too.
