In August of 2005 I sustained a bilateral PARS fracture of my L5 vertebrae and broad-based bulging discs between L2-L3, L3-L4, and L4-L5. I was given a bone-growth stimulating belt to wear for a few months and never had any follow up.
Now I’m in the Army National Guard and my back is still causing me problems. I am waiting on a Fit for Duty evaluation and Medical Review board…but I’ve been waiting on those since October and still haven’t heard anything about either.
So now I’m tired of waiting and would like to start doing something on my own. When I was in high school I competed in powerlifting, and would like to get back into it but I know that right now I probably couldn’t do it. I’m currently 6’3" 230lbs and I know that losing some weight would probably help my back. Besides that does anyone have any suggestions for me?
