Recommend Me a CHEAP Power Rack

Did I put enough emphasis on the cheap part?

Granted, I’d prefer something made out of actual metal (as opposed to those astonishingly cheap but laughably flimsy bamboo models) and that won’t bend easily, but other than that, I have no preferences.

Check newspaper ads, Craigslist, etc. People are always moving, upgrading, or giving up on their lifting.

I’m pretty sure it’s nothing I’d want to skimp on…

Four used 55 gal. METAL drums and two OLD wooden 4 x 4’s.

You emphasized ‘cheap’ and ‘metal’, did you not?

Additional 4 x 4’s could be used to change height.[/quote]

Fitness equipment you can steal from construction sites = hardcore.

Try a find a place either going out of business, moving or having a clearance sale.

A local equipment place bent belly up a few years back and that’s when I offered the guy cash for a power rack and some plates. I got a very decent power rack for $100 [retail was $400] and I got 4 45’s and 2 35’s for another $75
