Recipes For Kangaroo Meat?

Just went shopping at the local coles and was looking for turkey or buffalo meat when i stumbled across kangaroo sausages and kangaroo meat, i cant believe it hasnt been mentioned that much as the protein content is through the roof and carbs and fats are fairly low, so who else eats alot of kangaroo meat? any good recipes that are worth trying??

i eat mine with taco seasoning or low carb tomato sauce. If you arent cuting, you can get it pre-marinated which is pretty awesome.

Otherwise, search in google.com.au bro

I prefer Kola meat. Very tender.

just discovered it recently myself at woolies. Very cheap, about, 2.50 a packet of 7 or so sausages, and protein packed. It works out to about 30 grams of protein per 2 and a bit sausages. They don’t taste too bad either. I’ve got some mince in the freezer too, that I’m yet to try.

which woolies is this!?!?!
what part of australia do u live in

thats a bargain!

They got kangaroo in the states?

Jtg, love the avatar bro.

I’m jealous of you Aussies and Kiwis that have access to this meat! I’ve been dying to try both Kangaroo and Koala.

the only country that eats one of its official animals on our coat of arms…lol

I did some reading online and i believe it is available throughout Australia you might need to look a little, if you go into coles they have it in the meat section, not sure about woolies/safeway. a pack of 7 sausages costs around 3.50, a kilo of mince costs $3. I found a great website with recipes www.macromeats.com, the meat is a lot like mince meat except dryer, the sausages are great.

i’d eat other nations official animals but they arent as tasty or available, plus they have less of an impact on the enviroment when compared to cattle and the majority of kangaroos are the ones that have been culled due to overpopulation

hahaha, I don’t think you’ll find Koala anywhere mate, it’s an endangered species.
