Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

Yes I feel more stable. I feel better. After application I feel the T levels moving up within an hour and it lasts for several. Not a buzz… hard to describe. You jsut get this slight sense of energy and calmness… I’m not 100% healed yet but this is the best I’ve felt on trt in 3 months. Thyroid had a big part in it.

I hear labido is way better for most men in cream since it’s applied to the testes and dht conversion.

Only way is to try it out. If I knew then what I know now, I would of started cream from day 1.

Update: 7 weeks into TRT

On a Mexico trip to escape the cold. Wifey is constantly commenting on my recent physique changes — says I’m starting to look like a bodybuilder — and my libido is BACK! I’ve been applying 4 clicks ED to the scrotal area and this protocol has been a game changer! 2 clicks in the AM, 2 in the PM. As a result, my sex drive has been raging. I have not yet started Danazol but will (25mg EOD) when I return home.

I know I probably have a long way to go to being fully “optimized,” but super fired up about early ROI and where this journey is taking me!

My pre trt number was 71. When I switched providers the Dr was convinced that the lab screwed up and im pretty sure still doesnt believe it was a real number.

Fabulous man. I’m on cream and so glad to see another user. Looking good man… that’s allot of hard work and nutrition there.

Did you speak to your doc? Have you tried less cream or gotten bloods yet?

I tried less cream initially (2-3 clicks per day), which is reflected in the 4 week bloods posted above. Haven’t gotten bloods since increasing to 4 clicks (will have those in a few weeks and will share).

Oh ok.

What’s the danazol. never heard of that?

Applying to leg is jsut a wasted. I’d jsut take two clicks morning and 2 at night or 3 am and 2 at night and etc.

When you say labido do you mean attraction and arousal or do you mean erevtion strength.

I’m experiencing some lowered labido in terms of being easily turned on by a hot woman. It was allot better when I started. I’m having a different history though. I have way higher levels because I took cream on top of injections: I’m waiting for injections to get out of my system and have only cream to realize if I’m gong to be ok.

The guy above has some great feedback and that’s promising.

With cream dose changes it’s immediate and you don’t need 6 weeks. Maybe there’s another hormone that’s causing these issues?

Maybe it is estrogen. I can’t deny the history. They say high estrogen hits labido hard. Maybe applying 2 clicks and nothing to the legs is your next goal: this should lower your DHT concerns and lower t as well. Thus lowering estrogen?

That’s what I would do.

The Danazol would be applied to lower SHBG. It isn’t super popular in TRT circles but most don’t have the crazy SHBG I do. There is another thread here where another guy finally got dialed in by adding Danazol. Amazing results for him!

I think I will stick with the 4 clicks to scrotum approach because it has been working so well!

Have you tried the cream without the danazol? My only hesitation is that messing with Shbg has never really been documented as doable or safe. Especially long term effects .

Was the other guy on injections or cream?

Yes — so far I have not added Danazol. I will be adding next week when I return home and receive the meds.

I believe he was on injections. That may offer a difference. My dose is very mild though (25mg EOD, whereas he takes 100mg ED), so I’m not overly concerned. Should just be an interesting experiment. I’m not married to the idea of Danazol (especially if it could impact fertility), but I have such extreme SHBG that I think it could help.

You are fine where your at there’s no need to use that. Your not having issues men have with high shbg where it either doesn’t convert enough to estrogen and or free t. Your normal … I wouldn’t dare touch my shbg is my levels were fine.

Don’t do it. This actually shows that cream works very well for high shbg guys. You might of had issues with injections.

It’s temporary anyways.

My doctor was wondering if I am indeed producing enough estrogen because I am having low E symptoms like joint pain. Maybe much of it is bound by the SHBG?

Where is estrogen? I had same issue and resolved by taking more T. I thought I had high e2 and it turned out it was in the 20s.

@NH_Watts has some knowledge on e2 to free t and other ratios and could give a better answer.

My E2 is 50, which has stayed steady since starting TRT. Though my libido/sense of self/training have improved tremendously, I am still having the joint pains.

Be careful when lifting weights, allow your joints time to heal as your muscle are growing faster than your joints and tendons are healing. If you don’t take it easy, you’ll find yourself sliding backwards as it could take more than a year to recover from damaged, inflamed joints and tendons.

Good DHEA and estrogen levels will help repair cartilage and joints.

Yah that’s fine. Don’t worry about estrogen. Jsut be super psyched you don’t have high e2 symptoms like some folks seem to have. This tells me your shbg is not being a barrier …

I’d say more research is needed on this scrotum application. If high shbg don’t have issues with dosing on the scrotum, then more might benefit. It shows in your #s or you are an outlier.

Really sound advice. Do you think lifting 4x/week (cardio 1-2x) is too much? Debating scaling back to 3 lifting days.

Just take it easy on don’t do heavy intense lifting, keep it light to moderate lifting and don’t run like you’re running for your life. A first rate private specialist told me that it can take several months for joint, tendons and ligaments to heal fully, he told me the worst case scenario is attack the gym 4-5x week, tear a tendon or ligament and spend the next 1-2 years healing the damage needing platelet rich plasma therapy.

If you ever did tear a tendon, ligament, platelet rich plasma injections would speed up the healing process.

You’ve made amazing progress so far in only 7 weeks!

Update: libido/sense of self have been kind of spotty for the past couple days after a HUGE surge. I’m wondering if this may be tied to my HCG usage. I experienced the massive surge starting the day of my last HCG injection (.45), but I now haven’t injected in 5 days as I’m on vacation (though I have continued 4 clicks ED to the scrotum on this trip). I’ll update if I experience the big surge again after my next HCG injection (Saturday).
