Last night I was a little low on my fat/carb/protein ratio. In fact I was almost 33% of each (because I went and had a few beers, not a regular occurrence). I was already at about 2200-2400 kcals for today (didn't work out so that is my maintenance reqs) I wanted to get more protein so I went out to my local 24/7 grocery store and picked up a bunch of chicken strips and chicken salad (checked the nutrition facts). I ended up eating about 500kcal and boosting my protein levels to 38%
I am trying to build strength while losing fat, so I know I need to have better ratios, but was it ok to eat more to get those ratios or should I have just let it go for the day?
