I was at the gym the other day and this dude comes up to me right between my sets and asks “dude how much can you bench” I tolf him my max is 325lbs. Then he asks “How much do you weigh” and I stated 190lbs. While this little punk is asking me this shit i try to be respestful while he is messing up my time between reps.
He goes on to state he is going to the police academy and has to bench 93% of his body weight which is a weakly 173lbs. i ask him whats ur 1 rep max now dipshit states 110lbs. I almost bent over laughing when he told me this. Then more questions come.
He states that he needs to increase his bench in 1 month from 110 to 173. Holyshit are u fucking kidding me. I ask what do u do for bench. he states the smith machine. What a jackass that does not no shit about lifting. I hate jackasses that think having a strong bench is easy. What do they think you just lift one day and wake up the next benching heavy weight. Hell no they do not realize the hardwork and determination that goes in to what we do.
Meanwhile I was nice to the little punk but really I just wanted to rip his head off and shit down his throat. I pretty much told him to eat like a horse and and go heavy weight for reps of 5-8. I also stated he was probably shit out of luck unless he wanted to juice. Anyways sorry for the ramble but I had to vent.
