Got the idea from a thread in GAL: Post Random weapon pics and see who can guess what the weapon system is. Any type any country:

I’ll start with this one - who knows what it is?

Yep - bullpups are used by a number of countries, but this particular one has a specific country of origin in Asia (its not the Steyr)

Make sure when you post a pic the name of the gun is not in the title. Properties might give away your secret. I own some guns, but I have not spent a bunch of time memorizing them all.

Sorry, I don’t know military vehicles, but about the bullpups: anyone have any experience with them? Are they really that poor a design? The drawbacks, from what I can see, are:

  1. Long, complex trigger mechanism. Does this lead to a crap pull?
  2. Cartridge placement. A mis-loaded round can cost you half your face.
  3. Tougher to change mags.

In theory, the design is good – you have a shorter overall length but with the same barrel. The wasted space taken by the stock is no longer wasted. The gun should be more maneuverable in close quarters.

So what are your thoughts?
