T Nation

Random Weapon Quiz of the Day

#1

Got the idea from a thread in GAL: Post Random weapon pics and see who can guess what the weapon system is. Any type any country:

I'll start with this one - who knows what it is?

#2

bullpup design used by the Australians and a few others.

#3

Yep - bullpups are used by a number of countries, but this particular one has a specific country of origin in Asia (its not the Steyr)

#4

Is it bad if my knowledge of this stuff comes from first person shooters?

#5

and you are a fellow TN native? I'm disappointed . . . j/k

#6

Singaporean SAR 21

#7

Make sure when you post a pic the name of the gun is not in the title. Properties might give away your secret. I own some guns, but I have not spent a bunch of time memorizing them all.

#8

I've shot civilian AKs and an m4, other than that, I'm lacking in the "assault" weapon experience.

I'm also not a TN native.

#9

You are from Canada correct? I guess you are used to hockey.

#10

Thats what my dick looks like

#11

While i do love hockey, I'm originally a Georgia boy, but I've also spent a few years in mississippi.

#12

Clear and see through like the clip, or black?

#13

I would go see a doctor about that...

My guess is leprosy.

#14

Quick before it falls off.

#15

FTW!

#16

time to step up the game:

#17

Sorry, I don't know military vehicles, but about the bullpups: anyone have any experience with them? Are they really that poor a design? The drawbacks, from what I can see, are:

1) Long, complex trigger mechanism. Does this lead to a crap pull?
2) Cartridge placement. A mis-loaded round can cost you half your face.
3) Tougher to change mags.

In theory, the design is good -- you have a shorter overall length but with the same barrel. The wasted space taken by the stock is no longer wasted. The gun should be more maneuverable in close quarters.

So what are your thoughts?
