right so im trying to keep my routine as simple as possible. i started making it a bit too complicated for a little while and that was stupid, i just got frustrated. So anyway i havent benched at all because the thing is that the weight room i use at my MMA gym only has a smith machine which i think is stupid, and a safety squat rack, so i figure i could bench in the squat rack, but i dont have a partner. so my question is, is it okay to substitute a regular bench press with a dumbell bench press? or is there some really important benefit of regular benching that i wont be able to get from dumbells?
dumbbells are fine (my preference actually). work with what ya got.
