Quick Increase in Arm Size?

I’m on the keto diet currently, and my last carb up was this past weekend. At the end of the carb up, i took my measurements and my arms were 16 inches flexed. 3 days later, I took my measurements again and they were over 1/4 an inch bigger. I did measure them over a very tight long sleeve shirt, but i doubt that made much of a difference. How can this be?

Maybe you’re turning into Michael Jai White.

you’re probably right. I do have a picture of him on my mirror where I compare us in the morning. jk

You were glycogen depleted while keto’ing. You carbed up, refilled your glycogen and your muscles swelled up a bit. This is normal.

First, taking a measurement OVER a shirt is pointless. Even if it was skin tight Under Armour, that is not your real measurement.

i take measuremeants over my super warm sweaters

I measured in at 22" arms today.

It was over my insulated leather jacket but I don’t think it made that much of a difference.

Size/weight changes within a few fractions of an inch/pounds.
