Just wondering, when we refer to losing strength while on a cut, do we mean being able to do less repetitions for a given weight (4 sets of 8 becomes 4 sets of 6-7 for a given weight)? Or not being able to lift as heavy for something like your 1 RM? Or Maybe both?? Thanks!
Different degrees of both. It also depends on the style of training. Strength loss will not be the same across the board for all lifts. It's not really something you need to worry about. Worry about finding a way to keep as much strength as possible.
