Chris I’ve got a question for you. I am 20 years old, and currently on my college spring break. I went into this trip at 5’8" 174lbs at 12% bodyfat. Well I think it’s safe to say I will be returning back to school with a little less definition. My goal is to be at single digit body fat by the end of May. I am going to use JB’s don’t diet plan, but from past experience I cant handle that many calories, what’s a good way to determine them? Also how many carbs is to many in the carb + protein meals? I am pretty carb sensitive. Also what about ALA?
Caloric requirements are essentially a crap shoot. Yes, there are dozens of formulas out there – some complex, some simple – and they are a good place to start. But in the end it’s all about experimentation. Keep a food log and make adjustments as necessary based on your progress or lack thereof.
The rest of your Q’s can probably be answered by reading my latest article in the current issue of T-mag.
