Question About Overhead Squats

Funny how the OTH squats will make all the parts play well with others. When I started to do them, thought I was good, couldn’t get to the bottom. Thought was specifically shoulders and whatever up top. Put a plate under heels, able to hit bottom with relative ease. Worked hard at increasing ROM in ankle, viola. much better

Can I sub OHS for regular torso work?

i.e. 3x5 OHS instead of 3x8 situps

Since OHS would (seem to) actually carry over into helping out the back squat.
