Hey Guys, I was just wondering if doing the stair machines(“stairmaster” etc…) for my cardio will cause my glutes/quads to get bigger? I do about an hour 4xweek at a mod-high intensity. Believe it or not I want to limit their growth or even “shrink” them if possible LOL. Thanks for your time.
I’m not sure about the stairmaster in particular, but I’ve always found that cardio inhibits mass gains. I’m not sure why you would want to shrink them, but an hour of cardio will DEFINITELY be catabolic enough to give you chicken legs in a hurry.
Don’t worry about gaining muscle doing cardio; your legs will shrink plenty with lots of it. Just look at the development of most marathon runners if you need to be convinced. I don’t see why you want to shrink your legs, though.
