I started doing sprints about a week ago on a flat surface with a very slight incline. While sprinting I experience soreness in my right quad which I find unusual. Before doing the sprints I followed several of the warm ups found in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20Uvz2lVKcs
Has anyone else felt the same thing? I hardly do any running before this so I don't know if it's a normal thing or if I should be more gradual with my approach.
Sprinting is the one that sets mine on fire and makes them sore.
Week 1: upto 70%Week 2: upto 80%Week 3: upto 90%Week 4: technique workRepeat.
Focus on form right through out instead of a wild splurting out of energy. You'll find this far less harsh on your body.
