I have been following 5-3-1 and have a pretty good squat and have always had good form and depth. Recently I have been having pain on the lateral side of my quad about 6 inches down from the greater trochanter. I perform my squats with feet wider than my shoulders with toes slightly out. It seems to bother me most when i'm in the hole. I static stretch regularily and foam roll 4x per week on my IT bands, quads, hips, glutes, and hamstrings. Any tips or pointers?
