I have chronic patellar tendinitis and lumbar disc herniation and I would like to know if there is any quad exercise that I can safely do given the mentioned conditions:
I read that the following exercises are to be avoided:
- leg extension (bad for patellar tendinitis)
- leg press (bad for hernia)
- lunges (bad for patellar tendinitis)
- squats (bad for both)
I guess there are no more alternatives or am I wrong?
I currently do lunges with light weights and squats with an exercise ball for back support and I feel no
major pain but I wonder if in the long run I am worsening my conditions.
