Thought it was time to start up a proper training log.
I’m Chris and this is my log to getting strong. I’m 18, started lifting in June 2010 fairly unsuccessfully and am finally getting the hang of it.
I’m around 5, 8" and roughly 160lb at the moment.
Bench - around 105-107.5kg
Squat - 155kg (tested after Deads)
Sumo Deadlift - 195kg
End of year goals:
Bench - 130kg
Squat - 180kg x 3
Dead - 227kg

Bench - 20kgx5, 40x5, 56x5, 68.5x4 x 2 sets, 78.5x3x 2 sets, 85x3 x 5 sets
Squat - 40x5, 60x5, 96x5 x 2 sets, 112x5 x 4 sets, 112x8
Bench (closer-grip)- 56x5, 68.5x5, 80x4 x 3 sets, 80x7
Press-up - 10 x 5 sets
Good session overall, Bench has definitely improved. All bench reps were paused except the very last set. Last set of main exercises were and will be repped out (ala Ben Rice).

Incline Bench - 30kgx5, 50x6, 60x6, 70x6, 80x5
Overhead Press - 40x5 x 5 sets
Sumo Deadlift - 107x4, 127x4, 147x4 x 2 sets, 167x3 x 3 sets, 167x4
Hell, in a word. Last lot of Deads were meant to be Rack Pulls (I think) but I can’t do those at home so I solidered through. Repped out the last set of Deads - got one extra haha. Dreadful on the hands but what doesn’t kill you, eh?
