I use the recommended assistance work on 4 Days/Week templates for a while now, but as I squat/deadlift the day before i press/bench, I don’t really like the full body approach.
Let’s say my program calls for 25-50 reps of each category. Has anybody tried the following (I think most programs up to Beyond used something like this):
Bench/Press days: 50-100 reps Push, 25-50 reps Pull
Squat/DL days: 50-100 reps Core/SL, 25-50 reps Pull
It shouldn’t make a difference, right?
