Push-Down Variations

hey can anyone tell me the diffrence in hitting the triceps compared from reverse push-down to regular pulldown? any any othr attachment they would like to comment on?

You mean push downs?

o shit whoops yea push-downs

I think reverse pushdowns are meant to
work your inner tricep or something.

It’s just a pushdown. If you’re not doing Dips, Skullcrushers, Close-Grip Bench, or Reverse Grip Bench, then you should only be doing pushdowns because you’re really tired.

V-grip pushdown is more focused on the lateral head

Reverse grip pulldown is more focused on the long head

Rope pushdown is more focused on the medial head.

All three heads are always working so we are just talking about emphasis. You can also go by where you feel it.

yeah…close grip those bitches and dips. end of story

I do, i do close grip and dips, I only do pushdowns last because im shot.

Or if you want to work on the detail of your triceps.
A traditional rope pushdown works on the outer LATERAL head. A reverse grip focuses on the inner LONG head.

OP, this link has pictures as well as definitions for you (it is the Bodybuilding Anatomy book). It’s a pdf:
