Pumpkin Seeds Are Good For You!

So, I was checking out the nutrition info on pumkin seeds since I’m dieting and just carved my daughter’s pumpkin for her, and baked the seeds.

Turns out they’re very “good for you” nutritionally.

Pumpkin was one of TC’s “Power Foods”, so I’m not surprised.

They’re pretty cheap to buy in bulk. I dump those and sesame seeds into my morning oatmeal. Turns out they pack quite the protein punch, too.

yup great for you. awesome on a cut as if you get the shelled ones them little bugger are a bear compared to sun seeds to shell you can keep busy on a little bag for a damn hour LOL

Funny, with pumpkin seeds, I eat the shell and all. With sunflower seeds, I crack them open.

I do buy the pumpkin seeds without shells in bulk though. They are great on salads or just tossed into a homemade bag of mixed nuts.

I like to roast these with cashews in the oven in coconut oil.

Melt the coconut oil, toss the nuts/seeds in it, place on baking pan, bake for 350 for 15mins  then salt with sea salt~

I’ll have to try these as a work snack.

I can get these delectable fried pumpkin seeds, with cayenne and soy sauce. Them buggers are addictive. A good snack, when I’m bored of tree nuts.

Not sure how I missed this. I have a pumpkin left over from halloween and I was thinking maybe I could keep the seeds. So I did a search.

Nice to know that tool called the search which seems to be invisible to so many newbs is actually useful.

Thanks SR.

There’s a technique to crack them open with your front teeth, it’s quick and efficient.

Pumpkin seeds were a traditional and popular snack in the place where I grew up. People watching soccer were eating them by the handful.
I once ate so many I was sick for a day. But that was a ridiculously large quantity. Too much fat for a kid’s stomach, I guess.

Damn, now I craving pumpkin seeds.
