What are your thoughts about using pulls (ol) for athletes? How do they stack up compared to the power clean and power snatch?
The power clean and the power snatch ARE Olympic pulls. Of course they are not the Snatch and the C&J technically but they will do as much as the full lifts in my opinion.
Much shorter technical learning curve as well. Which is why I recommend them as opposed to the full lifts.
They are part of a sound program. Time and a place for everything.
Only using pulls or the entire lift is probably not the best strategy.
