Pulling Sumo, Pain in Legs

I started recently sumo deadlifting. Last week i did a regular sumo day and later in the week i tried sumo deficits. I squatted today and i had to take a deload week. I struggled with 250x5 (50%) my upper legs were killing me.

Its a pain in both legs from the top front of the leg almost into the quad. Squatting was almost impossible. Is this normal when you start doing sumos heavy? I kinda just jumped into them heavy. Will this pain go away once i get used to them?

No this is not normal, listen to your body and take some time off. I would recommend getting used to normal sumo d/l before proceeding to deficit d/l.
