Pull-Ups and Pendlay Rows

…are NOT good exercises for the layer system, correct? And what would you suggest to balance out the push/pull ratio?
Thanks in advance, Coach. Everything you make is golden

  1. The pendlay row is fine as a layer exercise.

  2. As I mentioned before I often add 50 pull-ups or ring row at the end of my session

  3. Olympic lifters do not do any rowing/pull-ups and they have great backs… you don’t need to balance the push/pull ratio if you have explosive pulls (high pulls) and deadlifts.

    Still doing ring dips?

Also curious on the ring rows, do you elevate your feet on a bench to do them?

Ok, that really clears things up, thanks Thibs!
