Prowler Measurements

I’ve tried a search, anyone know the measurements of the Prowler?

I see on their site 43x36 is that LxW, or WxL?

also, how far apart are the upright poles? I assume shoulder width, anyone know exactly?

My Dad is a welder and says he can make one for about $40-50

will probably go with this more basic design http://www.strengthsled.com/index.html

Afaik, length is usually longer than width, and looking at a prowler, I would say it’s longer than it is wide.

here are some dimensions:

I’m going to make that out of some heavy duty wood, the one I made this past week is pretty fail (see my log)

I was just checking out my friends this week with the idea of copying it. It is a basic box shaped design with thin walled round tube on each side so that you can switch directions.

Looked like maybe 2.5 feet or 30 inches.

edit: If it’s a diy project, why not use half inch plate with beveled edges instead of those sheet feet that they build them with?

Pretty sure if you search in the conditioning forum there is a bluprint of sorts someone posted, year or so ago.

I just made mine by eye, I measured the width of my wife’s hyundi(so it would fit) which I use to get it around and went from there, imo it doesen’t have to be exact. If your old boys a welder he should be able to figure it out by a photo, that’s what I did.

Good luck, I tell friends it’s a cross between renting the ice with no spares(brutal) and running from the cops lol.

I can fit it into a Prius.

saw a trainer at my gym attach a set of TRX straps to a round snow sled and then stack plates inside of it to drag… so simple but so perfect

Heres another one for you:

Dimensions: (L)780mm x (W)930mm x (H)1070mm/200mm (fixed/removable uprights)

One think I would suggest is not welding the feet to the base… if you make them so the sliders / feet screw into the base it is much easier to replace them when they get worn. It’s probably not important for a personal use thing, but i know your a trainer and if your gona have clients use it itll get worn out a lot faster…

I’m guessing about 18-20" on the space in between the upright handles?

Seems kind of close. 24" is just outside shoulder width for me, which feels about right.

I just measured mine and it’s 26 1/4" ctr to ctr on the posts.
