I have read these two aas are almost the same. Theyre both dht, one is modified for oral use and the other, I’m guessing, is modified to prevent breakdown. Has anyone tried both and can tell me how they compare? Supposedly, like dht, proviron breaks down in he muscle fiber so it can’t build muscle. It seems like people use masteron as a muscle building aide though (along with it’s AI effects).
Is masteron better than proviron for nonAI effects? How much proviron would equal a 200mg does of masteron? My guess is that the drugs are essentially the same, but proviron needs a higher does, and most people run fewer mg than when they run masteron.
Is dht not good for building muscle because it gets metabolized? What about other dht based steroids? What’s the best dht based steroid? It seems like dht aas have the best effect on mood. Also, I wonder, since supposedly dht breaks down in the muscle, what happens if that enzyme is blocked.
I would stop very short of calling them almost the same. I’ve run proviron a couple times. I have also ran and am running masteron. Masteron is preferred by me almost cross the boards without challenge. With specific respect to libido and sexually related issues I’d say they are close and for me that was proviron’s greatest aide.
Muscle-wise, whether body composition or strength related proviron does little to nothing whereas mast is pretty potent. Masteron for me also seems “a lot” [how you will quantify that is up to you] better than mast at estrogen control. But then again Im not very estrogen sensitive to begin within and have a large array of ancillaries for estrogen control as well; even if I dont need them much.
The average or recommend dose of proviron is 50mg ED. Mast doses vary a lot with some unable/unwilling to go above 300-400mg a week. I’ve used 600mg a week without issue.
Having said all the above clearly masteron is preferred but there is no prohibition from even running them concurrently. It really depends on your intent and desired outcome

Masteron is just added to stack to just boost the overall strength of the stack, and some DHT type mood/libido boost? What sort of outcome can proviron cause, is it just for libido, or can it bind to shbg or something like that?

It probably can but I’ve never heard of it at those dose level 100mg ED is the highest I’ve ever heard of even second hand. I dont actually know anyone using more than 50mg ED. Proviron isn’t the cheapest thing out there even if you get your own powder.
Masteron can make some people tight, its why the pumps can be great but some can get that near-de-hydration type feeling aka almost too tight. Others experience other things hairloss being chief. Since Ive never encountered any of these mast sides however so its probably mediocre at best for me to spout second hand knowledge.
The reasoning to add mast is individualized. Some use it for strength enhancement, some for the leanness/vascularity, some for libido, some for estrogen control, some for combinations of the above and some for reason I have not even listed. Proviron does bind to SHBG and there are rumors that its popular with male porn stars alongside clomid for “performance”.
