Protein Timing

These days, I do the same lower body work out about twice a week. That is, I usually take two or three days between workouts, which I have found works well for me. I try to get the proper post-workout nutrition.

My question is: After getting enough protein for the 24-hour period after my workout, must I continue with 1g protein per lb body weight per day, divided in six meals, etc.? Or can I cut back on the protein until my next workout?


One gram of protein / lb of bodyweight. Always. No reason to cut back. It would only be detrimental to long term gains.
