Protein Shake Before Workout?

Hey guys,

I just ordered the Anaconda and MAG-10. For about the last six months, I have been doing a 40 gram protein low carb Biotest shake about 45 minutes before I train. Wondering if this is still advisable with the new Anaconda/MAG-10?

I usually train at about 5:30 PM so I am relatively fasted since that means I probably haven’t eaten since noonish. Which is why I have a shake at about 4:30 PM.

So the question is: keep drinking a 40 gram shake before I workout, then the new Anaconda while training? Or skip the pre workout shake and just do the Anaconda?

PS: Body fat is at 10.5% so I am already fairly lean if that makes a difference. Trying to add muscle.

I haven’t used them myself, but I’d lean towards following what the labels say.

Try it and find out? It adds calories also since your trying to gain weight. I have no scientific evidence to say anything just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

Personally, I can’t train on an empty stomach. If your only option of eating between noon and your actual workout is that 4:45 shake, then by all means keep it. Of course if you throw some carbs in with that feeding you’ll probably be much happier with your results :slight_smile:


Thanks everyone. I will keep drinking the shake about an hour pre workout then. I just didn’t want to consume anything that may interfere with the Anaconda/MAG-10. I would hate to “waste” the Anaconda because I have a belly full of protein shake.
