Protein For Fat Loss..

I’m a newbie and was hoping to get some advice on somethings, especially diet. I am currently 6’1" 245 and in dire need of losing body fat. Currently I try to eat 5-7 small meals a day containing as much protein as possible, trying to get a gram of protein per pound of body weight.

I also am using Grow! and Alpha Male supplements by Biotest. I have all but cut sodas completely out of my diet as well. My time is very limited so I hit the gym every weekday for at least an hour and then I have two border collies which I take on a 5 mile walk/run almost daily.

The weekends I rest but, I still do five miles. I do tend to slack off on the weekends with beer and friends, usually grilling out. I would love to hear some feed back from any vet or newbie that either has been or is in the same boat as I am. Thanks again.

That beer will hamper your fat loss, specially if it’s with the buddies.

Well sounds like you’re doing fine, though longterm fitness you want to eat 1.25-1.5 grams of protein per body lb for some muscle growth.

Lifting weights 5 days a week for 1 hour is fine! Don’t think you need to workout for 4-5 hours to change your body! If it bothers you cut down on your rest time between sets. I stick with 15 seconds.

Also as long as you challenge yourself and give your muscles a reason to grow hell you can workout for 30-45minutes it’d be fine.
