what is the proper form for the military press? i was always told by my high school lifting coach to bring the bar between the nose an the chin, but i have seen guys in the gym since i joined the military bring it all the way to their chest. i am a little confused on them now
The original military press was the original olympic press, think 1930s.
Started from the chest, minimal backbend (think none) and …wait for it, heels together…like military standing to attention.
Learned that from John Mccaul miltaried 200 at 132lbs, back in the 50s.
Also snatched 190 when the wr was 210.
Took me 30 years to realise how much he knew.
