Programming w/ Different Training Focus Each Day?

Sometimes coach uses a layout of:

Day One: ramping

Day two: bodybuilding

Day three: whole body Performance - explosive

Day four: bodybuilding

Day Three is based on percentages from the Day One Ramping day.

Example: 10 sets of 2 based on 70% of 2RM from the ramping day.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of an article or post that details this strategy and how to program it effectively on your own?
