In my current programming, I’ve always followed the rule that when I add in an olympic lift I place it before the main lift and then do not program any supplementals. At most I may do some ab work or GHR afterwards but typically just olympic lift, main lift, then assistance and cardio. Would you ever recommend programming a supplemental lift at the same time you’ve programmed an olympic lift? For example,
Power Clean- 3’s Pro
Front Squat- SST or BBB or 5’s Pro
or potentially even just doing BBB with the main lift after the 531 sets? Just would like some thought on if this is a good or terrible idea. Thanks in advance.
