It cost 50% more for the fed to print a dollar bill then it did 3 years ago, but they say there is little inflation.

Hope you are buying gold and silver for savings. Those things are not investments or speculations – those are savings.
The silver lining is that you are removing yourself from the system, just a little bit.
The Fed rarely “prints” bills anymore. It’s mostly computerized adjustments to the major bank balance sheets at the Federal Reserve.
