Pre Workout Meal

I train 1/2 hr after waking up (only time I have) and was wondering how this looks for a pre-workout meal I make using a blender:

1/2 cup oats
1 Cup Milk
1 Scoop Protein Powder

What are your goals? Cutting, bulking?

That is a small amount of calories to be eating, but then again if you only have a half-hour window you don’t want to be gorging yourself on a quart of oats and a whole salmon.

It seems to me like what you are eating preworkout is probably just fine, but your post/during workout nutrition is where you need to focus and make sure you are meeting your caloric and macronutrient goals.

Im bulking, I know it doesn’t look like alot, but my post workout meal is alot bigger. I found that if I eat too much before I workout I tend to get sick.

If you can, try to sip on a diluted PWO drink while you workout. Take Surge (or any other PWO shake) and mix it with plenty of water. That should be good too.
