Pre/Post Workout Meals?

Can anyone tell me the difference between pre/post meals for cardio and weights? I’m reading a lot of stuff but getting confused. What would a good quick example be of something I can eat pre/post for both? I’m sorry if this is on this site here somewhere, I’m just a little lost.
