powerlifting pendulum

Hi
I tried the powerlifting pendulum workout for the first time, was doing the monday Phases 2 and 4: Functional Strength and Strength-Speed 1 : Quad-dominant training (squat and squat assistance).
The problem is it took so long, and i was moving fairly rapidly through it (nearly an hour and 20 minutes). I’ve heard that workouts should be 45 mins (an hour max), but is this different cos its functional training and not structural.
