Powerlifting Meet Preparation

I'm preparing for my first powerlifting meet and am something of a novice, so I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good powerlifting peaking cycle (for the squat.)

I have browesed the EliteFTS articles, and maybe I have missed a cycle they have, but any help in finding a good peaking cycle would be appreciated. Other advice is welcome.

people's ideas are probalby pretty different, but I think you really have to know your own training first to know how to peak yourself.

What works for Dave Tate may or may not work for you.

I would just work on general strength and get your first meet under your belt before worrying about peaking and other wierd shit....

As long as you don't lift the week before you lift, you should be fine. As a beginner all of those peaking cycles and stuff aren't all that important.
