What are your thoughts on powerbuilding? Has anyone here run the powerbuilding routines by Steve Shaw?
Prob 80% of the most popular/proven templates off Tnation could be considered ‘powerbuilding’ in some way …anything by Wendler or Waterbury, Thib’s programs from a couple years ago like “Complete power Look” etc
As below, going back and forth between powerbuilding and pure bodybuilding or a conditioning/athletics focus is a great strategy…
I like powerbuilding style training. Like anything, if its programmed well, your diet is where it needs to be and your sleeping enough, it will help you get bigger and stronger. I dont know the program you are talking about but whatever one you do, powerbuilding or otherwise, you get out what you put in.
I would say it works well and is much more fun than just bbing or powerlifting.It is a half way house though.
