Reading the article, I’d like to use the program after I’ve run through starting strength, mainly because I like the idea of focusing on one main lift per day, I like variable rep ranges, and I like the flexibility in assistance work. In beyond 531, it recommends doing power cleans on squat day, would that be a good idea for the 5/3/1 for hard gainers? thanks.
No, it is not in the program. Power cleans can be used in other 5/3/1 programs but not this specific one.
